Just Another Beginning Empty The Intro to my life.

Post by Vixen Sat Nov 23, 2013 10:36 pm

Sunlight streamed in through the leaves of the massive trees which encompassed the area shining on the vine covered remnants of a city of some sort. The buildings obviously weren't in any shape that they could be used as actual shelter, however a specific individual had thought against logic and was currently fast asleep on the floor of the highest building. She had stumbled upon in the dead of night not particularly caring that it could of been unsafe, no she decided on a single glance she was going to climb to the highest point and make camp there. Logic be damned, and she had managed to climb albeit it being fairly risky and once she got there she popped herself into a window and slumped against the wall slipping blissfully into unconsciousness.

How long she slept honestly didn't matter, the point was she did and she woke up just as suddenly as she fell asleep her eyes snapping open and her body tense ready for immediate movement. She would relax as she realized she was only being paranoid and would look around the room before standing up and stretching carefully avoiding the window. She would rather not be spotted by a predator, or her favored prey. Once she had stretched she looked around the room, whatever it was nothing was here anymore other than vines and whatever else was in the room and she would tap her temple as she thought about what she wanted to do today. She was quite hungry, perhaps she could find some fruits to eat or if she was lucky stumble upon a recent kill meat was her preferred diet anyways.

She would walk forward before stepping on something and looking down thankful it didn't pierce her skin, she would gaze at her own reflecting scattered into multiple pieces. An odd reflective surface of some kind, it was like she was staring into water, she knew what she looked like obviously but still this was something she was unfamiliar with. Perhaps it was due to her being out of touch with others or it could just be because she didn't care for worldly things, her main concern was and always will be survival. Everything else. Is subjective. she said while looking out the window just a bit her eyes slightly glowing as a beam of light struck them, it was bright, not something she liked but she'd deal.

She would pat down her body as she was looking for something, she was carrying a snack on her when she was climbing but apparently it wasn't on her anymore. It was sad, but she'd manage just foraging, and would look over if she could find something which could be used to assist her...

Hidden by the light lays a hunting horn and liquid in a basin next to it, simply just there ripe for the taking, if Vixen got closer she would be able to see exactly what it was, perhaps it was made out of wood, perfect for status effects and other ailments, or perhaps it was bone which was more attuned to things of an elemental nature. It could be rock, heavy but makes up for it with impressive Pure damage or maybe it was none of the above and instead metal the perfect balance of all three. Regardless it was Vixen's if she wished to claim it as her own, the liquid in the basin would sparkle a bit, as if calling out to her to touch it, nothing harmful or anything like that, rather it was a gift from Chaos himself something that she wouldn't be able to find anywhere else.

After all weapons came dime a dozen but the special material in this liquid..Chassis it was came directly from the Deities themselves, with Chaos being particularly interested in this girl. So what was her choice, would she accept that which Fate brought her, or would she cast away this gift and continue on her own.

She was a bit..tired at the moment however she did notice something in the distance and would walk over before crouching down and studying the object in question, it seemed to be some sort of horn, beautifully made but it was odd considering it was made out of pure bone yet she didn't understand how one could sculpt a weapon out of it without the assistance of Essence. Regardless she would pick it up and would turn it in her hands for a bit adjusting to the weight, she would look at it before seeing where her mouth went and the various holes on it and would test it out not loud mind you but just to see how it felt. She liked it and would put it on her shoulder before noticing the basin and would look at the liquid for about a minute as she decided what to do.

Her first instinct of course wasn't to eat it, she wasn't that stupid instead she would turn the basin around a bit checking before dipping part of her cloth into it only jumping back in shock when the liquid would shoot up her body and encompass her in some sort of liquid metal armor of some sort. She would panic a bit, it wasn't heavy or anything and it didn't really restrict her movements other than the odd feeling it wasn't as if she felt any different. She would pause touching the fabric, it was cool to the touch solid yet flowing but it seemed like it would protect her, she would frown a bit before shaking her head to dismiss her paranoid thoughts. She would walk out into the darkness sticking close to the wall and trying her best not to make a sound, no one really knew what was in the dark hence why most ended up being deathly afraid of it.

She wasn't one of those people who was terrified of the unknown but she was apprehensive of it, she was slightly skilled, if she thought so herself but she wasn't the type to brag about it. No, she preferred being anonymous, not interacting with people unless she wanted something from them, sex, food, being primary motivators. Honestly she ended up talking to herself more than she ever spoke to others, perhaps one day she'll get a pet, to keep her company, that would help honestly.

In the darkness a young Conga was currently sleeping blissfully unaware that someone else was in the room that is until Vixen ended up stepping on it's hand causing it to awake and voilently lash out at her aimed at knocked her back aginst the wall. It would get up and squint it's eyes not really being good in darkness but they were good enough to make out the shape of the girl and it would bound forward in a straight line attempting to tackle her to the ground again to prevent her from getting up and if that was successful it would mount her downed body and begin to pound her with it's fists until she stopped breathing.

Vixen hit the ground hard, it didn't hurt thankfully this new armor..liquid thing seemed to cushion the damage she would of taken normally and she would roll to the side before springing up and leveling her new weapon across her body. She would hear it running towards her so she would swing upward with all her might trying to catch it just before it hit her. If she was successful she would step to the left and swing horizontally trying to capitalize on it reeling from her hit to bash it again. Her breath was coming out slightly ragged now, perhaps it was the adrenaline coursing in her body, she was scared rightly so, the sudden nature of the attack coupled with the fact that she didn't even know what exactly she was swinging at.

Not that that bothered her in any way she'd prefer to envision herself bashing apart a random jaggi rather than knowing that she was fighting against a Gigginox, though those weren't native to this area but the point was she didn't want to know. If it was something terrifiying then she would just continue swinging and dodging until it left her alone, died or she died, she couldn't let knowledge that she couldn't survive this hurt her chances of possibly winning. She wasn't a fighter regardless, she scavenged and she had just figured out how to make bones move but she had lost all of her collected bone fragments so she was stuck helpless against this thing. I have to calm down..I can do this. do not panic, breathe...you have this. she thought to herself while softly exhaling and straining her eyes in order to possibly see not what she was fighting but rather the movement as her ears were always listening just in case there were any more. If she was lucky it was just the one but it could be worse...and that honestly wouldn't be good at all.

The Conga would rush forward only to take a hunting horn back to the chin and would rear up a bit from the force of the hit it would recover quickly and attempt to lash out before it was blindsided with another strike and would stagger a bit to the side before shaking it off two hits to the head like that wasn't really all that fun. It would roar before strafing to the left and then to the right before lunging at the girl once again trying to confuse her this time aiming at her legs attempting to grab on to them and take a bite out of the left one before releasing her knowing that if it landed she would be weakened and vulnerable and would now begin to favor the injured body leg. It would throw off her balance and reaction speed as well not to mention dodging out of the way would become cumbersome all factors which would eventually lead to her making a mistake and thus resulting in her eventual death. Let it not be said that Conga aren't intelligent.

Vixen would jump back while swinging downward the force of the blow causing her to get off balance and rather lean forward while smashing downward. It would of left her vulnerable however thankfully it had attempted to lunge at her legs and she would hopefully land a hit on the creatures body/head whatever. The object of the attack was to use the fact that she was using gravity in conjunction with her momentum gained from jumping back to deal damage to him. She would attempt to find the wall again cursing her luck just as she found a weapon and got some nifty armor it would seem as if she was attacked. She would make sure to keep herself ready in case anything happened as she couldn't afford not keeping track of the beast, her mind did linger however to the basin that she had gotten the liquid from, she had completely forgotten to pick it up.

If she survived she would do that..well after she dragged the body of the creature into the open so she could see exactly what sort of creature it was and possibly even eat some of it as she was quite hungry. The thought of eating it gave her more motivation, she knew it wasn't an apex predator, it was too small and it reared back from her hits, a rathalos wouldn't even flinch from such weak hits. Which means...whatever you are I can kill you, I'm in danger yes but it's not impossible as long as I continue to keep calm your mine. she thought to herself psyching herself up for the kill and she would palm her horn preparing to swing it like a club once again.

The third hit sent the conga crashing to the ground each one having struck it in the head and it was quite dizzy at the moment and would stumble a bit it's head pounding. Whatever it was fighting was tough and it was considering fleeing but it hadn't even managed to hit the nova yet, it couldn't just leave like that, no it would at least strike her once before running away and that was exactly what it set out to do. It would bound forward before leaping at her one more time it's hands being out front so it could absorb the shock if she tried one of those swings again and it would use her momentary confusion to bite her in the neck to bring her down. Not to mention it was faster that she was so she had no hope of being able to react once it connected before he could rear out and clamp down on her throat, however this was all assuming if she tried the usual smash, when he lunged at her. Perhaps she had already given it her all and would stumble then..he would be able to tackle her with no worries.

This time Vixen decided to try something different she would swing horizontally attempting to hit the beast to the side rather than her usual vertical bashes and if she managed to succeed at diverting it a bit she would follow up with an upward swing once again aimed at it's head. She didn't know if it would be enough of course so while doing so she would jump back upon completion of the swing before jumping forward once again with a downward smash in order to attempt to finish it or at least counter act any sort of follow up attack, it least her vulnerable of course but her armor seemed to be able to take damage from the thing head on so might as well at least try to make some use of it. She hoped that would be it, as she didn't have anything else worth using, well she did but it was more of a she couldn't possibly use it at the current time due to a lack of resources and the like.

Then again it depended on the result of the attack, if she was able to snap a tooth out or anything else, not that she would see it anyways, she could of used that to her advantage and made something of it, but for now fighting blind against an unknown opponent was taking a toll on her body after all she wasn't particularly made for heated close combat encounters. So honestly she knew if that didn't put it out then she might just have to retreat at the very least to catch her breath.

The conga would be hit on the side of it's arms and due to it's jump it would be diverted to the right of the girl, it wasn't a powerful hit just awkward and it would quickly block the following up hit. It's arms going up causing it to be slightly off balance, it would pull it's arms apart mainly to see only to receive a smash on it's head blood pouring out of it's eye sockets as the final smash did it in it's body slumping to the ground and twitching on the ground. This would only last a few seconds and sure enough it would go still and the dark area would be silent once more, it would seem she had managed to survive this encounter, how many more would she be able to endure in the future no one could know. It was a bulky creature however and dragging it would be rather difficult though it was possible even without above average strength.

Vixen would wait a bit, still tense as it could simply be playing dead however after about five minutes she assumed it wasn't going to be moving anymore so she would walk over before prodding it carefully with her hunting horn and only after that would she put her weapon away. She would crouch down to get a better look and would make out it's body shape and would smirk, she had killed a Conga, she was actually proud of herself for that and once she located it's arm she would proceed to drag it back to the room where she was. It was heavy, but that was the point either way she had stumbled upon a good source of materials, they were durable save for their head which thankfully going on logic she decided to target. Most creatures that she knew about seemed to be weak to damage to their skulls, and so far she hadn't met a creature that didn't follow the logic of hit it's head until it dies.

She knew that it wouldn't work on everything some creatures probably had much thicker skulls or had horns and other things which made striking the head inadvisable but for now, she would focus on doing such. She would look back at her prize and would continue dragging until she got into the room however long that took and once she was in she would pull the creature to the light so she could get a better look at it. If the basin was still there she would drag it as well to the light as she had a use for it. She would try to harvest the Conga's teeth first pulling on them with her fingers and if that didn't work she would repeatedly bash it's jaw until chunks flew off. Messy.. Vixen thought to herself as she went through the motions of bashing, but hey that was how life was.

Conga had two sets of fangs and they came off quite easily in comparison to the rest of the teeth, as a conga's head was rather weak in comparison to the other body parts, and as she bashed it apart it's jaw would break and hang limply by mere skin, while blood splattered all over her body, not really smart but so far nothing had come for her. Once that was done the two upper fangs and the entire lower jaw would be on the floor while the skull seemed crumpled due to the blunt force trauma if she wanted to get anything else however she would need to carve into the body and harvest the bones that way.

Vixen would set the pieces aside the two fangs and the jaw putting them in the Basin while taking one and using that to stab into the beast's body and carve into it so she could expose the bone in it's arms for harvesting, it was generally speaking not very pleasant work to anyone seeing what she was doing. For her, however it was exciting, and a slight turn on, then again she was finding herself in addition to getting into the mood a bit hungry as a result. Once she opened up one of the arms she would peel back the skin so she didn't end up eating fur and would bite into the bloody arm mainly to taste, she couldn't exactly preserve it so might as well eat some now while she harvested bone. Her main focus of course were the arms, everything else were just extra after all her own personal technique only required chips and not the entire length.

Once she managed to separate the radius and ulna from the flesh she would place on on the ground while using the other to attempt to bash it apart into shards of bone. Hopefully she could break it apart enough to make multiple fragments so she could possibly use that in order to fuel her abilities for a time. Sure it wasn't quality bone, but it was the best she had at the moment, the first start an empire perhaps.

It would seem separating the bone from the flesh was much more difficult than that and Vixen would find herself being unable to currently flay the flesh properly the bones being rather in there seeing as Conga had pretty thick arms, thankfully she had already obtained three things however it would seem it would take a bit longer to get to the arms at the moment. The stench of blood would fill the area and would linger a bit drawing the interest of a predator, currently it was at the bottom of the tower having made it it's base for the time being however the smell of blood was potent and would would tense up before deciding to stealthily make it's way up the stairs to the top of the tower where Vixen was currently lurking. It would take a bit mainly because it wasn't the type of predator to just charge in head first, no while related to the Barioth Naracuga were far more stealthy..more like assassins silent and deadly. One must not mistake being stealthy with ease as Naracuga were among the most vicious of predators.

Annoying but she would dig into the arms more trying to extract the bones from the creatures body, she knew she was making a mess and she knew she was most likely attracting things not of the pleasant sort, but she couldn't exactly stop, without this she would be unable to defend herself so it was better to continue and get something out of all of this than the merely pause and get nothing. She would take the second fang once she extracted the bones and would use it to peel off the skin on the jaw tearing off the flesh until just the jaw bone itself remained as that was what she wanted once that was done she would pocket one of the fangs and set aside the jaw back in the basin while continuing to use the single fang to open up the second arm and continue her routine. It was methodological and slightly boring but it was something she had to do and she would pause her carving by taking chomps out of the muscle any time she felt a bit hungry from her work.

For the most part she wasn't trying to conserve anything after all what would be the point, she couldn't carry it with her and she didn't have a pack or anything all she had was her new..armor and her hunting horn everything else she had seemed to have lost during the climb. It was slightly upsetting as she had collected some food and now she would have to live on the go but still it wasn't that big of a loss. She was used to just surviving day to day and not storing things, it helped to live in a forest full of food, then again when she herself counted as technically "food" it wasn't always a good thing. Thankfully she was learning how to be even quieter and sneak around though she knew in this specific case it wouldn't really help, parts of her body were covered in blood. I need to take a bath after this...sigh.. Vixen thought to herself as she looked at her hands and arms before sighing and continuing trying to harvest bones from the creature.

It seems she had finally gotten the hang of it and was able to extract the bones in the dead conga's arms and once that was done the following arm was done as well giving her four arm bones to go with the fangs and the jaw she had already harvested from the body, unfortunately because she was so focused in harvesting the bones she had ruined her chance of being able to skin the thing whole likewise her constant eating of the flesh in the arms rendered them unavailable to future use though it had acted to replenish whatever stamina she had lost from the previous climb. It wasn't a lot considering she had just woken up but now she would be operating on a full stomach rather than an empty one. Now she just had the lower body if she wished and the upper body with the chest if she wanted to continue with her carving. Meanwhile all the way at the bottom the creature was going through the stairs and at every floor it would pause before sniffing the air to make sure it was going in the right direction. There were so many rooms and although it knew it was coming from above it couldn't exactly be sure which floor it was on, so far it was distant so it would begin to move at a quicker pace to get to her.

Finally now she would try breaking the bone with her hunting horn and she wouldn't stop until she had a couple of bone shards once that was done she would go around collecting the shards of bone and would begin to place them in her pockets in her new armor, only the smallest pieces though she would place the bigger ones in the basin along with the fang and jaw. She would move on to the lower body more specifically the legs and would stab before carving downward just like she did with both of the legs and would attempt to collect the femur of each leg before repeating the smashing process this time using one on the other and sheathing her weapon as she knew these were the more durable parts of the Conga's body. If she was successful in obtaining that as well she would gather the smaller shards of bone while placing the bigger ones in the basin yet again and would place one of the fangs in her weapon harness while the other would be set on the ground as she now had enough to begin.

She would count out the number of bone shards she had total first, before doing anything and once she was sure how much she had she would concentrate as she attempted to alter the shape and composition of these according to the forms she had envisioned in her head. At the moment she was thinking of the numerous bones she could form these shards into and honestly it was making her quite excited.

Likewise she was able to get the bones in the dead conga's legs and while smashing the bones they would eventually crack and splinter into multiple bone shards before scattering around the room due to the velocity at which they were broken off from the original bone. Once she finished gathering the bones she would find that she would have 36 bone fragments out of those 20 of them were small enough to place in a pocket while the rest were the large chunks which comprised the bones at the end of the femur's and ulna/radius as well as chunks of bone which hadn't been smashed into smaller fragments. That added with the fangs and the jaw would bring her total up to thirty-nine. Now all that remained in the creatures body were it's ribs and spine along with it's hips however it was up to her if she wanted to try and scrape and carve those out as well. The blood and the noise would attract the attention of the predator it was a Juvenile Nargacuga small at the moment but still deadly as all were. Nargacuga it would arrive on her floor it's paws concealing the sound it made as it hid in the darkness the only thing of course that could be seen were the red glare from it's eyes which they use to see in total darkness. It would pause upon seeing it's target crouching down as it got ready and baring it's fangs before it would vault outward from the darkness and come charging at Vixen while moving at C-rank speeds.

Vixen would pour her essence into the various bone fragments causing them or rather the twelve large ones to begin to alter in shape changing them and then adding the smaller ones into it it was her first creation and so she didn't save any expense only keeping the fang sheathed in her medium weapon harness and the jaw bone she had placed in her pocket. It was a consuming amount of Essence she spent on the entire creation and when she looked to see what she made she was suddenly ambushed by some sort of blur the only thing saving her being that she would manage to pull out the fang and quickly change it into a spiked shield. It was made that way specifically to make sure whatever just attacked her would be forced to get off of her lest impale itself. Her eyes would go back to her creation and she would cause it to move the "scorpion" twisting it's tail moving from side to side as she rushed over to it at E-rank speeds. She didn't want to kill the thing, it seemed to be a Nargacuga deadly apex predators when they grew up but just because she didn't want to kill it didn't mean she wouldn't kill it and she would press her hand on the spiked shield before sprinkling some on her creation turning the bones into a blood red.

Beat...don't kill. Vixen thought to herself knowing that her Scorpion would understand what she meant by it, she would throw her shield at the Nargacuga before pulling out her hunting horn and would begin playing a tune in order to speed up her scorpion.

It was around noon. The sun shined brightly upon the world, the sound of a light breeze whistling through the all too many cracks, unknown creatures, making their sounds as they too enjoyed the beautiful heat. The city was run down, looking almost identical to the surrounding landscapes, many buildings missing, weathered away, or on the verge of collapsing. Yet, despite its lack of a homely atmosphere, it was still very well preserved with all things considered, its very age proving as evidence. Today, our story shall begin in what appears to have once been a small apartment complex, missing an entire face, and sinking slowly into the ground as the years continue to weigh it further.

It was a slow transition. He laid peacefully, sprawled out like a fur carpet as his consciousness slowly began to come too reality, dragging itself away from whatever sweet dreams were created. *Thud!* *thud.* Getting up was always difficult, especially when it felt as though a giant was stomping your skull into the ground. One large ache, then a small ache, the all too familiar pattern associated with his hangovers, granting him the amazing ability to not just feel his heart beat in his chest, but also bursting from his temples.

The pale, snow haired Dakar finally manages to push his naked body from the cold ground, leaning back into a seated position. "Ugh...Where the fuck am I?" It was spoken in a way which almost seemed pained, as his eyes scanned the immediate area. It appeared to have once been a lobby of the flat, though half buried as light only managed to light half the room through a small separation between the next floor, and the normal leveled ground.

Finally, Tibo managed a stand, yawning rather loudly before doing a multi-tasked scratch of both his nuts and the back of his head while he tried to recall the events of the previous 2 days. Nope, I don't remember shit, but this place is no Scattered Jungle. After a rough scan of the area, he managed to find bits and pieces of his clothing and of course, his bow, just casually laying randomly all over the place.

Butt naked, Tibo would slowly drag his feet over to each of the items, gathering them into a pile, before turning away to let out his morning piss. It was gonna be an interesting day finding his way around here, this place was like nothing he'd ever seen before.

His bow in question, was leaning next to a basin filled with some liquid of some sort which sparked a bit even though no light was streaming into it. It called out to Tibo without any words, as if it wanted him to touch the liquids surface. It was a gift from Nature herself as she had seen his diligence and faith turning away from the falsehood of Order and embracing the natural way of life. So far it was quiet and the room had cracks in the walls with the window in addition to those cracks allowing light to spill into the area Tibo was. There was a door...well the door had long since rotted away but there was another room just north, though unlike this room only some light shone inside while everything else was dark, he was probably on the fourth floor of this building. This gave him three options he could try and find his way out through the door, the window or he could simply wait here and do nothing either of course was his own personal choice each..with it's own consequences.

The piss was highly refreshing as he almost shock with glee as it finished, shaking his hips to complete the morning. After about twenty minutes, Tibo had finally managed to dress himself, well, halfway finish. His hair was left rugged and covered in dirt, his vest just left open and al his bandages were so loosely wrapped, they had no point of being there. With a groan and a hard press and drag from his the top of his head to his chin, Tibo made his way towards the bow, throwing it onto his back and the bowstring held tightly across his chest, all the while his eyes never left the odd liquid beside it. His mind was split into three. The sensible side saying to take it as a gift from the beautiful nature and be on his way, the drunk side wanting to drink it, and another part of him, most like his mother's brainwashing, telling him to leave it be.

As an individual who finds nothing more rewarding then Nature, the choice was obvious, anything which cannot be understood, yet resembles great beauty, is her doing. (his representation of nature is female) He would lean in, reaching out with his non clawed-glove hand to touch whatever it may be, surly it couldn't be too dangerous, right? After having touched the liquid, and whatever it may be that happens, Tibo will begin to make his way towards the door, unknowing it function and simply seeing it as a broken part of the wall which swings.

As he touched the liquid it would spread over his body enveloping it in a clear semi-solid liquid which was cool to the touch and would settle over his clothing before becoming still. As he entered the room he was met with silence, there was nothing around and darkness just lingered, silent and all consuming. If he moved to the east he would find another door leading to a hallway it seems the place was a two bedroom of some sort, but otherwise that was all the room contained just rubble, filth and darkness and of course the smell of urine thanks to him relieving himself earlier. Rather uneventful but so was his Fate at the moment, he could continue out the hallway where he could go to the north to the partially destroyed staircase or he could try searching in each of the eight rooms to see if he could find something worthwhile, once again it was up to him.

The cool liquid which ran up his arm was soothing. After having grown in one of the coldest places in the Natural world, it was a welcoming sensation after years of heat in this all so hot jungle, at least...that's where he usually is. Once the liquid had become a solid, he'd begin to make his approaching into the next room, scanning it as he does. To be honest, it was a slight disappointment to see absolutely nothing here. With a quick shrug and a simple [color:d089=00FF00]"Meh", he continued on his merry way, heading for the next piece of broken wall swing, each step getting harder. Suddenly, when only a few feet away from the door, he turned to the side and vomited, releasing all those bad feels.

"At least i didn't get any on my shoes..." He said to himself as his arms patted himself down to ensure his did just get god knows what all over his new invisi-armor. He continued his progression up the hallway and towards the stairs. A choice, up or down...Up. He slowly began to make his way up to the next floor, wondering how all this was crafted. A lot of questions were left unsolved in this area, its brings to life that either a) his kind were good builders many many years in the past, or b) There is other intelligent life. His mind thought back to the previous owner of his vest.

The Nargacuga would jump off once it felt spikes try to dig into it's hide, the prey was faster than it, that wasn't exactly fun, it was initially drawn to the smell of blood, and it saw the bloody mess and the prey which was covered in blood but it didn't realize it had to fight for it. It would snarl at the prey before it's body would begin to disappear the signature Nargacuga hunting stance the ability to temporarily render their bodies invisible, active camouflage if you will. It would notice the prey now had an ally, it wasn't alive though, it smelt like conga but it didn't look like it, she was wary of the tail it had, it was long just like her own. She would wait until the main prey took out another weapon and drop their prickly thing before pouncing jumping onto the wall before bouncing off of it and tackling Vixen to the ground while biting her shoulder.
