Training For:

It hadn't been long now. Or had it? How long had it been since he and then others awoke from their prolongued sleep? How long had it been sjnce they opened their eyes to a strange new world so unlike their own? Was he even on the same planet? What year was it? Were they the only humans alive? These were the questions they asked when they first awoke. The very questions that drove them toward the hellish depths of insanity, causing them to turn on one another slowly but surely. And if they hadn't gotten one of their own then some strange creature from this nightmarish world did. Life was a constant nightmare, not knowing if you'd make it through to see the rise of dawn. Sleep had come rare to the group furthering their paranoid fears, fueling the fires of betrayal and murder. But was it really murder now or was it just killing? Was there any law and order left? Or was the world thrown into the hands of chaos and that was the new rule of the land? Fight. Kill. Survive. Were these now the new rules of the world? If so, then they were in hell.

Eon wandered far, this time alone. His entire team dead, by the hands of him, each other, or some strange inhabitant of these lands. Even his own brother had met his demise, at the hands of Eon. But it had been self defense, handn't it? Yes... It had to have been. Eon wandered endlessly across the sands of this strange world looking for shelter for the night, or a place to wash the blood of his brothers from his hands. This world was a cruel one, where survival was the only true rule. There was no such thing as a safe zone, as every place was nothing but a grave site where one could quickly meet their end.

°°°°°FLASHBACK°°°°°

Eon awoke with a start, sitting up quickly and gasping for air. He recoiled when his head hit some kind of hard object. It took his eyes a few seconds to adjust to the bright light before he realized he was still in the proto stasis pods. But it seemed to be half covered in sand. He pounded on the glass for a moment before pressing some buttons on the display shelf. Luckily there was still a little juice left. With the pressurized door and a little man power, he was able to open the stasis pod door and push away the sand. He stepped out of the pod and collapsed, coughing as the hot air stung his lungs.

Scorching sunlight would rain down on his body from above possibly even temporarily blinding him as his eyes readjusted, in the distance however in the distance a glint of some sort shined in the light revealing a partially buried gun of some sort. If he got closer he would be able to see exactly what it was, perhaps it was made out of wood, perfect for status effects and other ailments, or perhaps it was bone which was more attuned to things of an elemental nature. It could be rock, heavy but makes up for it with impressive Pure damage or maybe it was none of the above and instead metal the perfect balance of all three. Regardless it was Eon's if he wished to claim it as his own, near the stasis pod however there was a basin of liquid that seemed to be devoid of sand.

Fate had expressed interest in this boy...he was a survivor like the rest of his kind..only time would tell how long he will be able to survive.

Eon coughed again and raised his hands to shield his eyes. He saw the glint and reached out, grasping a wooden handle. It perplexed him. When he finally sat up and his eyes adjusted he could see it was a cleanly fashioned handgun fashioned from beautifully crafted wood. It was strange as he had never seen wood fashioned into something so complex. He licked his dry lips trying to moisten them as he examined then weapon when the liquid caught his eye. He looked over and then leaned toward it, reaching out one hand to get a handful of water, or so he thought. When he touched then liquid it spread over his body forming a unqiue bone structure across him.

It would seem the boy accepted her gifts, that was a good start however it seems the desert heat was making him hallucinate a little bit as he thought the clear liquid metal flowing onto his body from the basin was actually bone armor, poor boy the sun tended to mess with one's clarity. However he seemed sensible enough not to leave the gifts in the sand and both stretching to the front and back it would seem as if this desert was never ending. The first thing to do of course was to get out of this place and find somewhere with things to heat and cover to hide under so that he didn't dehydrate himself to the point of death, but sometimes even though they had all the tools in the world, people just didn't survive anyways.

Way out in the distance probably about forty feet away a Juvenile Barioth was awaking from it's slumber, it seems that it's mother had already went out hunting so it would shake some sand off of it's pelt and would go out to play. Playing of course meaning that it would practice hunting on weaker animals but in it's mind it was a game with the added bonus of being able to eat what it played with. It would step forward before it's head was suddenly impacted with a crossbow bold and it would slump to the ground as a person would scamper over to it before inspecting her kill. She was in her late twenties with blue hair but was distinctly human just with a punk rocker sort of look and she would smile before crouching down and pulling her arrow out of it's head before using it to carve it open so she could eat it. Cooking wasn't particularly an easy thing to do here considering the blazing sun just made the fire burn all that quicker rather than the slow burn which would be needed to actually cook flesh.

Eon froze when he saw the stramge cat bird thing. He had never seen the creature before. But it didn't seem to survive long. Some girl had appeared and quickly dispatched it. He hesitated, thinking that bow of hers would be pretty scary to be at the end of. He then looked back at his pod and wondered if there was anything inside he could use. He had built it with his team, maybe he could scrap some parts from it. Might be useless but one never knew. And so he returned to the pod looking for any weak points that he could work with to get to the hardware, attempting to scavenge whatever he could from it.

The pod itself was intact, unless he tried to break it, it would be difficult to simply open it up, for some reason the resources inside of it on the other hand had perished while he remained intact, that was odd...it wasn't supposed to function like that. Then again it was a prototype many things were wrong with it, a small rumble would be felt and the pod would sink into the sand quickly and if Eon didn't jump out of the way he would be pulled under with it. Sand really wasn't all that stable then again it could just be that something underneath had pulled it under or perhaps it was divine intervention either way the pod sunk quickly. The rumbling attracted the attention of the woman who would look up and wipe her bloodstained lips her eyes narrowing as she reloaded her crossbow in anticipation of a fight.

She would scan the area before seeing something in the distance and would raise her crossbow to aim at it only to pause when she saw it was another human, someone else like herself, she didn't know how long she had last seen another person. Creatures and stuff were frequent but a human...that was a rarity.

"Woah!" said Eon as he jumped away from the junk. "Ah geez. So much for that material. Sigh," he said while rubbing the back of his head. He then looked back at the girl and saw her pointing her weapon at him. His gun twitched in his hand but he made no motion to raise it. He didn't want to give her any reason to attack. Instead he did a quick turn trying to scan the horizon for any other dangers before settling his gaze back on the girl.

The girl would pause seeing as he didn't wish to attack her and would keep her weapon on him before lifting her free hand before motioning him to come closer to her. She wasn't going to attack unless he provoked her too but she was willing to talk simply because he was a human he could possibly know what was going on. She would look down at her kill, and frown slightly he wouldn't probably understand why she did that, he didn't know that she was only lucky that it was a juvenile. These reptile tiger things were apex predators and she was one of the few who had seen them in action..monsters they were.

Parlez-vous français? the woman would shout over to him if he got closer to her, her voice rather light and slightly strained as she hadn't spoke to anyone in a long time.

Eon hesitated but thought it best to do what she said. He slowly approached and when she spoke he replied shaking his head. "Un petite. English mainly," he said hoping she would understand. He looked down at the little creature, feeling kinda sorry for it. He then looked back at the desert then at the girl. "Before we converse further... We should go before mama gets back," he said feeling nervous and twitchy. He bounced on his feet a little to try and get rid of the adrenaline.

The woman would frown, he didn't speak her language, and she understood very little English, it would make communication difficult. Her eyes would narrow seeing as he was nervous, ah probably because she had killed the Juvenile. She would put her weapon away before pulling out a flask and chanting something in french the blood from the Barioth draining into the flask until it was filled to the brim. Once that was done she would place the flash in her hip pocket before cutting off the hind legs of the Barioth which were drained off blood, before placing them in the pockets on her thighs. She would dip her hand in the blood before stepping back and muttering something else the blood swirling around before sinking into the ground.

La prière est terminée, allons-y. Par ailleurs, quel est votre nom? Mon nom est Dominique. Dominque said slowly while pointing to him before pointing to herself once she introduced herself and would study his facial expression and would smile faintly, as even though she couldn't understand him at least he was a person. She wasn't alone anymore.

Eon had to take a moment to translate what she said. He then slowly formed a response so she could understand him. While he spoke he kept looking around for any more creatures in case the mother came back or the smell of fresh meat attracted something worse. "Mon nom est Eon, Eon Kreiss. Qu'est-ce qui se passe? Où sommes-nous? Quelle est cette chose que vous avez tué?"

Je n'ai aucune idée, je me suis réveillé de mon module de survie il ya un mois. J'ai trouvé ces armes et j'ai presque perdu ma vie contre l'adulte de cette chose. Ce n'est pas la seule créature étrange, je dirais étrangers mais je sais que nous sommes encore sur la terre. Dominique said while scanning the area and looking around, the dunes were difficult to navigate but she knew how to get out of this place to get to a cooler area, she would motion for the boy to follow her before she would begin to run at a moderate pace and would begin to head to the east knowing that after a while they would reach the rocky area where they could camp out for a bit. Here in the middle of this desert..it wasn't really safe, not that anywhere was safe but the desert was many more times dangerous than the areas which had shade. Perhaps it was because of the various creatures who seemed to be able to swim in the sand, she had nearly gotten killed by a pack of them about a week ago when she was foraging.

In the distance a white speck seemed to be approaching..

Eon noticed the white speck in the distance and quickly lashed out for the girls hands. If he managed to get a grasp he would pull her down and shove her hands into the sand. This would seem strange at first but it was actually to use the sand to cover the blood on her, using it to temporarily mask the scent before he would let go and run in the direction she had originally been heading. There was still the blood on her mouth, but he doubted shed be happy with the sand on hee hands, much less him shoving her face into the dirt. As he ran he would pull out his gun and check the chamber. He pulled a single bullet out and pocketed it, saving it for in case he decided on suicide for a swift death.

The white speck in the distance quickly caught up before stopping where the juvenile Barioth was, false alarm luckily for them as it was merely numerous sheets of paper which seemed to be fluttering in the breeze, the woman on the other hand didn't appreciate it in the slightest but she understood why he did it and would wipe the blood off of her mouth. Ne vous inquiétez pas, le sang protège ceux qui l'adorent, ils ne peuvent pas sentir le sang sur moi tant que je continue à sacrifier au dieu du sang.
the woman said quickly as she got up and she would smile at him while shaking her hair free of some of the sand, under normal circumstances he was correct, but ever since she stumbled upon the shrine of Blood and sacrificed her own blood on the altar she had come under it's protection and was now able to manipulate her own and that switch she had gathered with her new gifts.

Cet endroit ... il nous a donné le pouvoir, Dieu veut que nous survivons et donc il nous a béni avec la capacité de le faire. she said quickly before she would take off yet again, now that the danger had seemed to pass.

The papers seemed to have strange writings on them thankfully they were in English sometimes anyways, but more were random lines seeming to be torn out of a book, some of the paper was burnt apparently someone had set up camp and was burning paper but perhaps a wind blew some of the sheets away who knew. The woman would continue running before turning to face Eon and she would explain what she meant while reaching under her clothes and pulling out a necklace which had a onyx pendant. She would squeeze it and a droplet of blood would come out of it before she would raise her hand showing that she wasn't harmed at all, it was a totem from the alter a representation of her god's protection.

Venez laissez-moi vous emmener à l'autel et vous montrer. she said quickly as she preferred to continue on, she understood he was curious but she wanted to get back to the altar so she could get to safety.

As they ran and she spoke of blood and sacrifice a cold chill creeped up the young mans back. Something was definitely wrong here but he had no other choice. The heat was starting to get to him and his lips were getting parched. He tried running faster. Sooner they got out of the heat the better. As he ran he began to wonder where the rest of his team was. Where he was at and how long he had been in the pod. Judging by the rust he had seen in some of the steel bearings it had definitely been longer than ten years. The steel they had used was guaranteed to last at least three times that was necessaey. And they were well rusted. It had to be thirty years or more.

The woman would continue to run and soon enough in the distance one could see a large canyon which marked the start of the Gorge, that was where the altar was and that was where they needed to go, or rather where she wanted to go and where he was currently following her to. She would look back to check if he was still following her, and once she made sure he want she would continue to move before slowing down a bit as they got closer to the Canyon she would stop about five feet away from it before looking to the left and right for her harness and would motion for him to come closer as she spotted it about 20 feet away a shiny metal clip glinting as it reflected the sunlight. She would open her flask before taking a gulp of the creatures blood before looking over and seeing that he likewise was thirsty and would offer him some.

--------------------------
Awakening in a strange world not to mention being clad in the barest of clothing wasn't really a good thing, luckily Ares was warm even at night and she wouldn't suffer for her lack of clothing as she would have if she were anywhere else. Even at night for some reason the sun still bore down on Ares' surface heating it despite the planet facing away from it, perhaps it was because the sun had only set a while ago or maybe it was just the positioning. All of these things weren't really that much of a concern rather a basin of some sort was on the ground near her, filled with a strange liquid and a couple feet away from that was a handle of some sort, somehow a weapon was buried in the sand.

How they got there, who knows, perhaps Nature considering she decided to provide for this specific human, after all she was a merciful Goddess and to those who worshiped her she provided when she could. This was an example of one of such occasions, and it would seem nothing was in sight to bother her at the moment.

The sun was just going down in this area that was scorching hot in the daytime, As the small gust off wind crept over the area carrying vacuums of sand away as if almost dancing to a beat. And seemingly in the center off it all was a pod with a women leaned up next too it and sleeping soundly she was not showing any signs of uncomfortability but as the wind passed by her causing her hair to run over her face she shook awoke. As her body twitched and flexed wakening up and feeling somewhat different like it had been modified her hazel eyes would scan the area she was currently in as she awoke from her sleep her breathe would begin starting to accelerate as she jolted up looking around, up then down at the pod next too her.

What is gong on? Sara said looking into the sky puzzled at the current situation. She had no memory off how she had came into this desert and particularly why she was currently naked well not exactly naked, she had on black panties and a black bra along with black socks which reached the top off her knees. But beside that current fact she currently needed to find out what was near her and hopefully she would find somethnv useful.

Roxas came to a slow halt as she had. When she offered him the bloody flask he hesitated. He knew the taste of blood, or his own at least. It was metallic and gross in large doses. But there didn't seem to be any water nearby and he was beginning to feel light headed from dehydration and then running. After a moment of hesitation he gently took the flask and held his breath before taking a sip. Immediately he began coughing, the blood was definitely not on his favorite drink list. He gagged a bit and took some deep breaths before handing over the flask.

Dominique would giggle at his reaction to the blood, perhaps it was an acquired taste, though she did agree it wasn't pleasant, usually she would mix it with fruits however she didn't want to waste her more desirable drinks on mere dehydration, She would motion to Eon to come with her before walking over to the harness revealing a rope and hardened blood which secured the rope to the rock face. She would look at him for a bit before she would jump down grabbing onto the rope and would begin to slide down both of her feet pressed against the cliff face as she slowly climbed downward. Of course there was no safety so if he wan't confident in his arm strength it wouldn't be smart to do it, though perhaps if he fell she would catch him, honestly it depended really.

Il n'est pas si loin mais attention que certains des roches ne sont pas stables. she said looking up and calling out to him while still going down assuming he was willing to follow her, then again it wasn't like he had anything better to do at the moment. Perhaps look at the papers more carefully or not, separately they seemed to be just writing then again perhaps the back made more sense.

With a small glance Sara would notice a handle sticking out off the ground and would move over toward it before crouching too the ground. Water, great. Sara would say in a somewhat enthusiastic tone as she reached her hand into the basin only to have it begin running up her body forming a heavy armor and it was her style, still very tight and form fitting for it's size. Fuck i was thirsty.. She would scan her body looking over the armor she was blessed with or whatever ever you call it when water turns to armor.

Next she would reach for the handle pulling up a giant axe made of some kinda wood and running her hand over it to get a feel for the material. what kinda wood is this? Hmm at least I can use it for protection to get out off this desert. She would lift the axe and begin a few practice swings before looking around and starting to walk north particularly looking for life she could go for a good hunt right about now.

It would seem this one was eager to get started luckily the weapon was made out of Grey Wood giving it a silver appearance but it didn't have the sheen associated with metal, rather it was somewhat dull as if it was tarnished but it didn't seem to have anything wrong with it in the slightest. The liquid would partially solidify into armor, though it seemed it had yet to decide what it would be and as such it would be a translucent material which covered her body. Looking around nothing was in sight other than a couple of cactii and the occasional bramble bush however perhaps if he looked around more he could find something worth to drink, it completely depended on how far he was willing to walk. The moonlight shined in the area, it was a new moon with red light washing over the sand giving it an almost crimson hue as if some sort of bloody battle had taken place, then again perhaps one did, at least at one point in time perhaps a battle did occur.

Bulk training
Spoiler:

Sara would stop for a moment looking up into the sky and deep into the red moon it was weird, not pretty or anything like that just one off those anomalies that people deemed worthy of their time. Though it did not last long cause as her eyes shifted she would notice some cacti and bushes and would begin to walk toward them. good enough I suppose. She said as she would swing her axe cutting off the top of the cacti before reaching her hand into the interior and drinking the liquid inside. She would do this for a short while covering all the cacti within the area she was in making sure not too stray too far...this area seemed safe. After awhile she had gathered all the cacti in the area and was halfway through picking out the pokey things, the cacti would provide her with a source off meal for later. Now she was back too walking although with her new supplys she still could not help but wonder what this feeling was, everything was strange she flexed her muscles and would gasp as they enlarged and she would notice a buildup off some kind within her body. This was enough to interest her into pushing further so with a small exhale sara flexed her body and for a short while nothing happened but soon her body began to expand and ripple growing in size, her breath became steady as she scanned her muscles but they quickly reduced to their usual normality.

In the distance a gray speck seemed to be quickly approaching, only upon getting closer it was revealed not to be a speck but rather a running Rhenoplos fairly massive dwarfing the woman even though she had bulked up in size with the back of the creature being as high up as the woman while the with being around the size of a truck. It would keep bounding forward seemingly unhindered by the sand and would stop near a cactus chomping on it for a bit before turning only just noticing that there was a woman nearby. It would bellow before finishing what it was eating before crashing forward at high speed intent on trampling the woman to death, it's head low and being about a foot above the sand. The typical approach of a Rhenoplos was that of a battering ram and it would seem considering there was nothing else in sight but cactii and sand that Sara...was the door.
