At the bottom of the gorge exists the only place in Ares actually covered in plant life due to being shielded from the sun's intense rays and being of a lower surface temperature. It is rather humid with pools of water sourced from Lake Arid finding there way into the underground and it features the largest terrestrial cave system in the world.
Ares's coastline is distinguished from the others by being primarily rocky and barren with some pockets of plant life here and there in addition it leads to cave systems when not walled off by the Gorge.
The Gorge features several dry, wide open areas with sparse cacti, and caves containing underground lakes. It comprises of the upper half of Ares sharply contrasting with its desert comprised southern counterpart.
The Sandy Plains are located near the river stemming from the Arid Sea and have some shrubbery, littering the partially sand covered terrain. The closer, however, one gets to Hades the less frequent plant life becomes being replaced with the occasional cacti or the even rarer oasis.
This comprises the lower half of Ares and is the closest to Hades which can usually be seen in the vast distance due to the relative flat grounds and low amount of dunes filling the area.
This is a collection of high hills before sinking below sea level within the center of Ares culminating in a large expanse of water within it. The Arid Sea is named so due to being surrounded by desert landscape isolating it from other water sources and due to its remoteness is a common ground for wildlife due to being comprised completely of fresh water.
This craggy landscape is nearby the Arid desert and features some plant life however is primarily littered with hills and unique rock formations due to weathering.
