    Re: Limits (Essence, Blood, Conduit & Fatigue)

    Post by Fate on Tue Nov 12, 2013 11:05 pm

    Fatigue Limit (FL)

    The Stamina Limit determines how tired an individual can get while exerting physical feats, the Fatigue limit on this site goes by post count and as a topic goes on the more tired an individual gets and upon reaching a certain limit they become exhausted suffering penalties to their Tiers. Upon passing one's exhaustion threshold can result in collapsing, and in dire cases death.

    Note The Stamina Limit is not a stat but rather how many posts your character and fight before succumbing to fatigue. Likewise it can be replenished through food and sleep with the only limit being one can not go over their max level of Stamina.

    There are Three factors concerning one's Stamina, the first being Race, the second being Age, and the third being Exertion. Collectively they determine how much fatigue has, the effects of becoming exhausted and how fast one's fatigue limit depletes.

    Race
    Each of the races starts off with their own physical conditions however that can be offset through conditioning to make any of them just as fit as the other. The reason for this is due to Humans having relatively perfect physical traits due to extensive genetic engineering, Zireh being inorganic and being more efficient thank living organisms, and Nova having evolved to their present state in this harsh environment.

    Nova start with a stamina limit of 40 posts.
    Humans start with a stamina limit of 50 posts.
    Zireh start with a stamina limit of 60 posts.

    The Max Stamina Limit that can be obtained is 100 posts and weekly training increases this by +5 each time.

    Age
    Age is a major factor in a character and not just due to the Fatigue Limit, Age controls, maturity, child-rearing and of course death. Likewise each race has their own lifespans and age at which they are considered past their prime physical condition.

    Humans
    Average Lifespan = 80-100
    Male = 80-95
    Female = 85-100

    Physical Prime = 20-40
    Middle Aged = 45-50
    Infertility Male = 60-75
    Infertility Female = 50-60

    Zireh
    Average Lifespan = 100-120
    Male = 110-120
    Female = 105-115

    Physical Prime = 30-50
    Middle Aged = 60-70
    Infertility Male = 70-85
    Infertility Female = 65-75

    Nova
    Average Lifespan = 60-80
    Male = 60-80
    Female = 60-80

    Physical Prime = 10-40
    Middle Aged = 45-Death
    Infertility Male = N/A
    Infertility Female = N/A

    Concerning Stamina
    Each Age has a Specific limit at which the individual becomes fatigued, and a fatigue threshold limit when they become exhausted with varying adverse effects based on that.

    Individuals are hungry when quarter of their Stamina Limit is depleted.
    Individuals are fatigued when half of their Stamina Limit is depleted.
    Individuals are exhausted when three quarters of their Stamina Limit is depleted
    Individuals reach Critical Levels of exhaustion when they get below three-quarters of their Stamina limit.

    Meaning at Max levels of Stamina (100) if they get to 50 they become fatigued, they are exhausted at 25 and when they get anywhere from 24 and below they become susceptible to the effects of Critical Levels of Exhaustion.

    Human (FLH)
    Below Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Collapsing, Fainting (11-25), Death (0-10)

    At Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -1 Rank from Tiers
    * Critical Condition = Collapsing, Fainting (11-25), Coma (0-10)

    Middle Age
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Fainting, Coma (11-25), Death (0-10)

    Past Prime
    *Fatigued = -3 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Coma, Death (0-20)

    Zireh (FLZ)
    Below Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Dizzy, Collapsing (11-25), Coma (0-10)

    At Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -1 Rank from Tiers
    * Critical Condition = Dizzy, Collapsing (11-25), Fainting (0-10)

    Middle Age
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Collapsing, Fainting (11-25), Coma (0-10)

    Past Prime
    *Fatigued = -3 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Fainting, Coma (0-20)

    Nova (FLN)
    Below Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Fainting, Coma(11-25), Death (0-10)

    At Physical Prime
    *Fatigued = -1 Rank from Tiers
    * Critical Condition = Fainting, Coma (11-25), Death (0-10)

    Middle Age till Death
    *Fatigued = -2 Ranks from Tiers
    *Critical Condition = Fainting, Coma (11-25), Death (0-10)

    Exertion
    This refers to the strain the individual is placing on their body while preforming physical feats and revolves around the usage of Tiers and Style. Although each race, sub-race and higher state have their own specific tiers they all have the commonality of having a min and max tier. Note, each tier has its own specific minimum and maximum and this should be used according to which tier the character themselves possess.

    Average Pre-Higher State Tier Range = E-B
    Max Tier = B
    Standard Tier = D
    Min Tier = F

    Higher State Tier Range = E-X (Where Applicable)
    Max Tier = B, A, S or X
    Standard Tier = D, C, B or A
    Min Tier = F, E, D or C

    Operating at Max Tier levels
    * 3 posts in a row = -5 to stamina limit
    * 2 posts in a row + Standard Tier the 1st/3rd post = -4 to stamina limit.
    * 2 posts in a row + Min Tier the 1st/3rd post = -3 to stamina limit.

    Operating at Close to or at Standard Tier Levels
    * 3 posts in a row = -3 to fatigue limit
    * 2 posts in a row + High Tier the 1st/3rd post = -2 to stamina limit.
    * 2 posts in a row + Min Tier the 1st/3rd post = -1 to stamina limit.

    Operating at below or at Min Tier Levels
    * 3 posts in a row = + 1 to stamina limit
    * 2 posts in a row + High Tier the 1st/3rd post = -1 to stamina limit.
    * 2 posts in a row + Standard Tier the 1st/3rd post = 0 to stamina limit.

    Not moving
    * 3 posts in a row = +2 to stamina limit
    * 2 posts in a row = + 1 to stamina limit
    * 1 post after utilizing Max/Standard/Min = 0 to fatigue limit.

    Sleep
    *Per Posts asleep = +5 to stamina limit

    Recoil Limit

    On this forum their is a certain degree at which a technique can be buffed before recoil damage is dealt to them. Transmute & Restore influence Recoil damage dealt to targets as well as the user. Recoil deals Universal damage and bypasses Endurance, Defense and Barrier tiers to deal direct damage to the recipient of the buff. This even extends to things created by animate as overpowering them results in them sustaining damage before being destroyed, Conduits, Destroy Essence and other things of immediate damage effect not in contact with the user upon release detonate instantly.

    Recoil Dealt
    No Damage
    Techniques can be increased by +1 without sustaining any additional damage due to recoil. In addition techniques E-B can be strengthened via this method. (e.g B-rank + 1 = A-rank, user sustains no recoil damage.)

    * Transmute Essence extends it to E-A when dealing with one's physical body.
    * Restore Essence extends it to E-A when dealing with things other than physical bodies.
    * Transmute + Restore Hybrid Essence extends it to E-S when increasing techniques.

    Recoil Damage = To Initial Rank of Technique/Damage Dealt (Whichever is higher)
    Techniques can be increased by +2 while sustaining this damage. In addition techniques E-C can be strengthened via this method. (e.g D-rank +2 = B-rank, User sustains D-rank recoil damage)

    * Transmute Essence extends it to E-B when dealing with one's physical body.
    * Restore Essence extends it to E-B when dealing with things other than physical bodies.
    * Transmute + Restore Hybrid Essence extends it to E-A when increasing techniques.

    Recoil Damage = To 1-rank below Current Rank of Technique/Damage Dealt (Whichever is higher)
    Techniques can be increased by up to +3 while sustaining this damage. In addition techniques E-D can be strengthened via this method. (e.g D-rank +3 = A-rank, User sustains B-rank recoil damage)

    * Transmute Essence extends it to E-C when dealing with one's physical body.
    * Restore Essence extends it to E-C when dealing with things other than physical bodies.
    * Transmute + Restore Hybrid Essence extends it to E-B when increasing techniques.

    Recoil Damage = To Current Rank of Technique/Damage Dealt (Whichever is lower)
    Techniques can be increased by up to +4 while sustaining this damage. In addition techniques E can be strengthened via this method. (e.g E-rank +4 = A-rank, User sustains A-rank recoil damage)

    * Transmute Essence extends it to E-D when dealing with one's physical body.
    * Restore Essence extends it to E-D when dealing with things other than physical bodies.
    * Transmute + Restore Hybrid Essence extends it to E-C when increasing techniques.

    Recoil Damage = To 1-rank Above Rank of Technique/Damage Dealt (Whichever is lower)
    Techniques which are strengthened past their limit and the user lacks Transmute or/and Restore Essence use this to calculate the Recoil damage they sustain. (e.g C-rank +3 = A-rank, User sustains X-rank damage)

    * Transmute Essence extends it to E-D when dealing with one's physical body.
    * Restore Essence extends it to E-D when dealing with things other than physical bodies.
    * Transmute + Restore Hybrid Essence extends it to E-C when increasing techniques.
